Elsa Heyman is 'Maître de Conférences' at the University of Lille, Faculté des Sciences du Sport

Her research deals with metabolic & hormonal adaptations to exercise in Type 1 diabetes and their impact on aerobic performance. We explore the roles of muscle oxygenation, skeletal muscle mitochondrial function, and the endocannabinoid system. Another main topic is about the interaction between exercise & brain in Type 1 diabetes.
